Learning outcomes
The main course objective is to enhance the previously acquired language skills with special attention paid to the development of the language used in the specific area of Business English. The initial level of communicative competence: B1+ in General English. The final level of communicative competence: B2 in Business English. The emphasis is put on developing vocabulary and productive skills relevant to students´ future profession, as well as on the enhancement of the learners´ autonomy.
The student is able to communicate interactively at B1+ level, is versed in using extended Business English vocabulary. B1+/BE: Speaking: interactivity, distinguishing register. Reading: mastering reading techniques, advanced use of dictionaries and sources of information. Writing: respecting style and register. Listening: comprehension of commonly mediated types of listening (Working English).
Prerequisites
Communicative competence: CEFR B1 in Business English.

Work-related product analysis, Didactic test

interkulturní projekt: AUA zadání ve výuce a emailem Test: in writing (lexis and grammar)/oral (summarising main ideas of a text; responding relevant questions), pass: 60%
