Course content
Language and culture Intercultural Aspects of Business. Social Interaction in the business environment. Aspects of politeness in business interaction. Marketing motives and market forces. The global student. Standardized didactic test measuring the level of acquisition of the course content.

Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Skills training, Stimulating activities (simulation, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
The main course objective is to enhance the previously acquired language skills with special attention paid to the development of the language used in the specific area of Business and academic English. The initial level of communicative competence: B2 in General English. The final level of communicative competence: B2+ in Business English. The course focuses on developing vocabulary and productive skills relevant to students´ future professional careers.
The student is able to communicate interactively at B2+ level, is versed in using extended Business and Academic English vocabulary. B2+/BE: Speaking: interactivity, distinguishing register. Reading: mastering reading techniques, advanced use of dictionaries and sources of information. Writing: respecting style and register. Listening: comprehension of commonly mediated types of listening (Working English).
Prerequisites
Communicative competence: CEFR B2 in general English.

Assessment methods and criteria
Home assignment evaluation, Oral performance analysis, Student portfolio analysis

Students'language acquisition level will be tested by standardized tests.
