Course content
Nature and Environment. German Abroad and Forigners in Germany. Migration and Integration. News, Politics and History. Generation Gap. Reading Authentic Texts. Complex language exam based on the standardized testing materials and including both the receptive and the productive language skills

Learning outcomes
The course is designed to build on skills acquired in the course EKNEC and to foster the acquired language level. The two semester course develops four basic language skills: reading, listening comprehension, writing and speaking skills.
Students are able to make themselves understood both in writing and spoken language in everyday situations. They are able to describe their needs and their surroundings and can write simple texts about things they are familiar with and to give reasons for their opinions.
Prerequisites
Communicative competence: CEFR A2 in general German.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Home assignment evaluation

Active participation in the e-learning course with minimum pass mark 60%; submitting all e-learning assigments. Standardized final language exam which reflects the specific command of language relevant to the student's professional needs.
