Course content
Germany-overview of the country. Advertising and Marketing. Computers, The Internet, Searching the Internet. Consumer Society, Shopping. Looking for a Job, CVs, Job Interview. Service Industry (Banks, Eating out, Tourist industry). Reading Magazines (Deutsch perfekt). Deutsche Welle. Komplexní jazyková zkouška založená na standardizovaných testovacích materiálech a zahrnující receptivní i produktivní jazykové dovednosti.

Learning outcomes
The course is designed to develop general vocabulary and basic language skills, particularly speaking. The required starting level of learners is at least B1. Emphasis is put on speaking, listening and reading comprehension and resulting discussions. The one-term course includes current topics as well as topics related to the learners' branch of study. The target level is B1+ in German for specific purposes according to CEFR.
Students are able to make themselves understood in everyday and job-related situations, discuss pros and cons, they are able to read and understand specialized texts and to explain their opinion of them. They are able to make themselves understood during their travel to the corresponding country.
Prerequisites
The expected entry level is B1 according to the Council of Europe Common Framework. Learners are expected to have the skill of collecting and processing information. The target level is B1+ in German for specific purposes according to CEFR.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral performance analysis, Didactic test

Submitting assigned seminar papers. Exam: test in writing (reading and listening comprehension, grammar and vocabulary cloze test). Pass: 60%.
