Course content
The impact of ICT on business, including communication, information, management and product design. Embedded and general-purpose systems Data storage and management Control systems Computer-assisted learning Virtual learning environment Software development Human-computer interaction Computing and ethics Principles and ethics Privacy and surveillance Virtual and mirror worlds Augmented reality Artificial inteligence

Learning outcomes
The subject provides more space for the expansion of the knowledge and skills obtained during the previous studies. An emphasis is put on the development of the abilities to apply the adopted language instruments and speech skills to the needs of effective communication in the practice after graduation. The course includes working with technical texts and studying materials from the fields of information and computer science and economics. The target level is B2 within the CEFR.
The student can understand the main ideas of clear input information, he can deal with most of the communicative situations within his/her future professional life. He/She can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible. He/She can take an active part in discussion in familiar contexts, accounting for and sustaining his/her views.The target level is B2.
Prerequisites
- for non-native speakers Communicative competence CEFR B1+ in general English.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral performance analysis, Didactic test

Completing 70% of course seminars. Completing the credit requirements upon the teacher's requirements. Exam/credit test based on the content of the seminars. The completed level of students' language competence will be evaluated within the final examinations using standardized testing materials. Subject completion requirements in case of a distance teaching mode: Based on the teacher´s requirements, the student participates in online lessons according to the schedule and completes the assigned tasks via the online systems Moodle / MS Teams.
