Learning outcomes
The subject provides more space for the expansion of the knowledge and skills obtained during the previous studies. An emphasis is put on the development of the abilities to apply the adopted language instruments and speech skills to the needs of effective communication in the academic environment. The target level is C1 in the area of English for Academic Purposes (EAP). The subject may be taught remotely.
The student is able to communicate interactively at C1 level, is versed in using extended Business and Academic English vocabulary. C1/BE: Speaking: interactivity, distinguishing register. Reading: mastering reading techniques, advanced use of dictionaries and sources of information. Writing: respecting style and register. Listening: comprehension of commonly mediated types of listening (Working English).

- for non-native speakers Communicative competence: CEFR B2+ in general English.
