Course content
|
The course focuses on communication at CEFR B2 level and provides space for intercultural competence development through English. The course deals with a role of a target culture and language which predetermines langauge pragmatics.

Learning outcomes
|
The course aims to develop communicator´s intercultural competence and awareness of cultural background communication impact on recipients.
Student is competent to produce culturally sensitive and matching communication at CEFR B2 level related to their field of study.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral performance analysis, Presentation
Students: 1) prepare presentations on aspects of national culture through: Cultural Iceberg Activities for the Czech Culture Event (to be presented at University of Alicante) 2) participate in the common study programme with students from University of Central Lancashire 3) submit assignments through MAHARA LMS (cultural iceberg, reflective diary)
