Course content
Communicative skills - offers - refusing/accepting invitations, telling the date, time, arranging a meeting; Grammar and vocabulary - irregular verbs etre, avoir, venir, savoir, connaitre, days of the week; culture topics - Free time of the French. Communicative skills - expressing quantity; Grammar and vocabulary - direct object, irregular verbs prendre, boire, payer; Culture topics - Food. Communicative skills - asking the way, directions; Grammar and vocabulary - imperative, constricted article au, du, irregular verbs plaire, faire, plaisir, offrir, ordinal numbers; the town; Culture topics - the French and games.

Learning outcomes
Students develop their knowledge of French grammar and extend their vocabulary. Emphasis is still put on active knowledge of the language and the ability to communicate in common situations.
Students are able to express themselves in the present, future (futur proche) and past simple tense (passé composé). They manage to conjugate basic irregular verbs. They are also able to communicate in basic situations.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination

Written test at the end of the course. After passing the test (min. 60%). Attending 70% of the sessions Completion of all prescribed assignments Exam/ Credit is based on the summary of materials/topics covered in the sessions. Subject completion requirements in case of a distance teaching mode: Based on the teacher´s requirements, the student participates in online lessons according to the schedule and completes the assigned tasks via the online systems Moodle / MS Teams.
