Course content
Communicative skills - asking the way, directions; Grammar and vocabulary - imperative, constricted article au, du, irregular verbs plaire, faire, plaisir, offrir, ordinal numbers; the town; culture topics - the French and games. Communicative skills - expressing commands, prohibition, advice; expressing ownership; Grammar - something, nothing, somebody, nobody; irregular verb devoir; expression il faut; relative pronouns qui, que, ou; pronouns of indirect object (me, te, lui, leur); Vocabulary - house, colours. Communicative skills - description of a place, expressing amount (adverbs of quantity); Grammar - states and continents (articles, prepositions); adverb y; demonstrative pronouns; irregular verb voir; Vocabulary - family, holidays.

Learning outcomes
Students develop their knowledge of French grammar and extend their vocabulary. Emphasis is still put on active knowledge of the language and the ability to communicate in common situations.
After the course students are able to communicate in ordinary life situations, write a structured CV and manage basics of correspondence in French. They have knowledge in basic phraseology and use grammar in practice.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination, Oral performance analysis, Didactic test

At the end of the term there will be a written test. Oral part will take place after min. 60% passed written test. Attending 70% of the sessions Completion of all prescribed assignments Exam/ Credit is based on the summary of materials/topics covered in the sessions Subject completion requirements in case of a distance teaching mode: Based on the teacher´s requirements, the student participates in online lessons according to the schedule and completes the assigned tasks via the online systems Moodle / MS Teams.
