Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to equip students who are considering a study stay abroad with specific communication, language and intercultural skills that are needed to successfully manage situations during their stay abroad. The subject can also be enrolled by those students of bachelor's and master's study programs who have already participated in a stay abroad, as well as those who want to improve and practice their practical language skills.
Students are able to make themselves understood both in writing and spoken language in everyday situations. They are able to describe their needs and their surroundings and can write simple texts about things they are familiar with and to give reasons for their opinions. The target level of the course is B1.

Prerequisites

- for non-native speakers Communicative competence CEFR B1 in general German.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral performance analysis, Discussion, Presentation
Attending 70% of the sessions Completion of all prescribed assignments Exam/ Credit is based on the summary of materials/topics covered in the sessions In case of your interest you can pass the International Language German Exam - ÖSD
