Course content
Languages. Subordinate clauses with - weil, comparatives and superlatives of adjectives and adverbs. Family. Possessive pronouns, Subordinate clauses with dass. Travelling. Modal verbs. Leisures. Relfexive pronouns, Verb structures. Eating out. Relative clauses. Summative written test comprising the standardized test items relevant to the content of the course.

Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Skills training, Stimulating activities (simulation, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
The course is designed to foster language skills at the level of A1+. Emphasis is put on speaking, listening and reading comprehension and grammar. The target level of the course is A2 assuming the combination of an active participation in the course and autonomous preparation within the e-course UPNUC.
Students are able to make themselves understood both in writing and spoken language in everyday situations. They are able to describe their needs and their surroundings and can write simple texts about things they are familiar with and to give reasons for their opinions. The target level of the course is A2.
Prerequisites
- for non-native speakers Communicative competence CEFR A2 in general German.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral performance analysis, Didactic test

Active 70% attendance at contact lessons; submitting assigned seminar papers of the e-learning course with 60% pass mark. Subject completion requirements in case of a distance teaching mode: Based on the teacher´s requirements, the student participates in online lessons according to the schedule and completes the assigned tasks via the online systems Moodle / MS Teams.
