Course content
In order to complete this course, The student MUST have the level A1 in Spanish. ( introduce themselves,talk about family, describe a person, talk about the house, talk about a city and give instructions, Daily routine and food) this course is not intended for complete beginners. To get the A2 level the student will learn: -Ropa y complementos. Pronombres de completo directo e indirecto. -Gerundio. -Hablar de planes a futuro. Ir a+infinitivo -La salud. Verbo doler y similares. -Pretéritos.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Skills training, Stimulating activities (simulation, games, drama)
  • Home preparation for classes - 20 hours per semester
  • Preparation for an exam - 20 hours per semester
  • Contact teaching - 26 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The course is designed to foster language skills at the level of A2. Emphasis is put on speaking, listening and reading comprehension and grammar. The target level of the course is A2.
Students are able to make themselves understood both in writing and spoken language in everyday situations. They are able to describe their needs and their surroundings and can write simple texts about things they are familiar with and to give reasons for their opinions. The target level of the course is A2.
Prerequisites
- for non-native speakers -Spanish level A1 Communicative competence CEFR A1 in general Spanish.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination, Oral performance analysis

Spanish level A1 Active 70% attendance at contact lessons. Exam - written test, oral part. Test of grammar - covering grammar. Oral part - interview on a conversational topic and interpretation of an article.
