Course content
Theory of swimming styles, swimming rules Basics of breathing, movement under water. Practicing breast stroke. Practicing the crawling style of swimming. Underwater swimming practice. Theory of canoeing, kayaking and paddleboarding techniques on smooth and gently flowing water. Practical training of skills on smooth water - technique of direct, reverse and pull-in on canoes, kayaks and paddleboards. Safety of movement in water terrain, first aid on water. Equipment for canoeing and kayaking.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to practice breaststroke, crawl, starting jump, swimming turns and swimming under water. Master the basics of canoeing and kayaking on gently flowing water, master the technique of direct and reverse engagement on a canoe and kayak, know the basic equipment and equipment for canoeing and kayaking, and control a paddleboard.
A student who has successfully completed the subject knows the basics of the rules of competitive swimming, can distinguish between correct and incorrect swimming technique and swimming styles. Can explain the basics of the rules of competitive swimming, describe the correct execution of swimming styles, list swimming styles and competitive swimming disciplines. He is able to swim technically correctly 15 m under water, swim 200 m freely. Can handle a canoe, kayak and paddle board. Knows equipment and gear for canoeing and kayaking, safe movement in water and first aid on water.
Prerequisites
Basic motor skills. Mastery of basic motor skills, effort and interest in developing the level of motor skills needed to perform basic swimming locomotion, canoeing, kayaking and paddleboarding.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment

Swim 15 m underwater, swim 200 m freestyle, manage to control a canoe, kayak and paddleboard.
