| Key learning outcomes | Graduates can be characterized as highly qualified experts who are capable of both independent and team creative scientific and research work. Graduates possess deep theoretical knowledge in organic chemistry and in related fields, and are proficient in experimenting. They excel at controlling contemporary synthetic and separation procedures and are capable of using analytical methods in a chemical laboratory. The use creative thinking in planning, implementing, evaluating and publishing of their scientific results. Graduates have job opportunities in both basic and applied research, and particularly in companies that focus on the development and production of organic compounds (natural substances, pharmaceuticals, dyes, compounds for optoelectronics, etc.) Graduates from the Organic Chemistry study programme have the knowledge necessary to process and address in a creative way the complex roles involved in the chemistry of organic compounds and downstream disciplines, not only in terms of chemical research and chemical production, but also in terms of application, use and potential impacts of chemicals in all areas of human activity. Graduates are also able to develop and introduce research results into chemical practice and to participate independently in addressing scientific and research tasks. After gaining some experience, graduates will also be qualified for leading positions in both academia and research institutes, chemical enterprises, and institutions of the field. | ||||
