The specialization of Slavonic Studies of the European Union is offered in combination with the specialization of History. The objective of this specialisation is to provide cultural, historical and linguistic study within this bachelor programme, graduates of which will find work in the sphere of business as well as tourism. Due to the current language structure of the European Union, this field of study is composed of four fields: Polish, Slovene, Bulgarian and Croatian . Graduates will have acquired knowledge of cultural history and current aspects of life and institutions of the particular countries. They will also have gained necessary level of communicative competence in the individual Slavonic target language (also by means of one-semester stay at a university abroad according to the chosen field) and in one world language. Graduates of the bachelor programme will be trained mainly for practical work in tourism and in junior management in companies doing business in the particular language area.
