Key learning outcomes Educational and occupational objectives of the field of study: Field of study objective consists in educating qualified restorers and conservators specialized in creative art works capable of individual and team work and mastering extensive practical and theoretical knowledge; they are engaged in a controlled profession of dealing with restoration of creative art works which are not categorized as cultural relics, however, they are stored in museum or gallery collections, or those are cultural value items; the objective is also targeted at cultural heritage items restoration being creative art works or art-and-craft works. The graduate masters creative art, professional abilities and skills, information and knowledge of particular restoration problems and related restorer proficiencies. He/she is able to apply methodological and operating procedures of historical and latest materials applied within the branch; he/she himself/herself or in cooperation with experts of related branches is able to prepare the entire restoration draft including exploration, diagnostics, art-historical assessment, restoration design, restoration treatment accomplishment and its documentation. He/she is ready to participate and accomplish restoration and conservation activities covering extensive complexes exceeding a solitary work of art. He/she is able to apply in practice knowledge and practical experience in restoration materials, techniques and technologies within interdisciplinary activities both in preventive care and restoration of work of art. He/she also masters knowledge of international and national care of monument principles, relevant legislation and economy within particular branch. The graduate is able to apply his/her profession as an independent restorer responsible for a complex tasks; he/she can work in teams focused on architectural recovery being specialized in creative art restoration, being in charge of regional administrative departments, work within institutes of care of monuments, or supervise construction companies specialized in recovery of architectural cultural heritage items. He/she is ready to work in EU countries and further countries. Knowledge obtained within follow-up master course of study is a platform for best students to continue doctoral study program having the similar specialization or as a part of continuing education.
