Course content
In terms of performed restoration work on objects following theme shall be gone though: - Restoration survey - nondestructive and destructive survey; survey evaluations. - Wall painting cleaning - mechanical and chemical cleaning, approaches and materials. - Wall painting consolidation ? grouting; structural and surface consolidation (coatings), approaches and materials. - Filling of wall painting defects - approaches and materials. - Aesthetic presentation of wall paintings - treatment philosophy; retouch and reconstruction methods; materials. - Restoration documentation - conception of documentation; text, picture and graphic documentation. Students shall get knowledge by obtaining of partial tasks in terms of a "live" monument restoration which is to be performed according a consultation with a tutor. Before launching work on their tasks students shall get information in form of comprehensive lectures and presentations on a given subject. Discussion about restoration procedures and conception are led in terms of the class or the studio collective.

Learning outcomes
Students shall continue in study of particular restoration techniques which advances their independence in reference to both practical activities and complex consideration of problems. Due obtaining information students should form their personal point of view which has to be presented during discussions.
Students shall learn a scale of restoring procedures and be able to use them properly after a consultation with a tutor. They should be able to develop partial procedures and state the reasons for their contemplation during discussions. They should be able discuss an overall conception of restoration treatment.
Prerequisites
In order to study this subject, students need to take part in subjects of Summer Practice I, II and III and Wall Painting Conservation Techniques I.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

The exam consists of attendance estimation (at least 80 %), work quality evaluation during the semester and both oral and visual (Power Point) presentation summarizing performed work.
