Course content
Material processing techniques, i.e., parchment and writing techniques. Writing tools preparation, cutting quills and waxwings, adaptation of writing supports and preparation for making copies.

Subject objectives consist in getting knowledge and skills in the history of writing, calligraphy, book illumination and miniature.
Students are capable of applying knowledge and skills within the history of written culture and book illumination required for a restorer profession specialized in book culture work.
