Course content
Practical experience in basic abilities of medieval scrivener and illuminator, making ferrous-gel ink, calligraphy practice, individual initials design, EX LIBRIS, book covers, etc.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming)
Learning outcomes
Students improve abilities and knowledge within history of writing, calligraphy and typography.
Students are well versed in knowledge and abilities within written culture history branch.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

Test samples shall consist of a classification of the historic calligraphy and of the oral interview.
