Course content
|
Quantification problems of sustainable development requirements, SD indicators. Information sources on causes of environmental changes, environment status and consequences. Possibilities of non-market environment valuation. Environmental damages valuation. Eco-efficiency and methods of efficiency valuation of environmental investments and measurements. Environmental accounting at macro and micro level. Latest instruments of environmental policy.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to extend students? knowledge in the area of environmental economics and management by the newest findings. Students will be able to find relevant data, analyze results of decision making on anthropogenic activities in the territory and take a decision in context of sustainable development.
The subject gives orientation in the most important environmental implications of economic development.

Home assignment evaluation, Student performance assessment
Attendance at seminars is compulsory. The examination is granted upon successful completion of the seminar paper in the extent of 10-15 pages conceived as a source for the thesis or paper.
