Course content
Quantification problems of sustainable development requirements, SD indicators. Information sources on causes of environmental changes, environment status and consequences. Possibilities of non-market environment valuation. Environmental damages valuation. Eco-efficiency and methods of efficiency valuation of environmental investments and measurements. Environmental accounting at macro and micro level. Latest instruments of environmental policy.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to meet students with advanced methods of inductive statistics and to develop abilities and knowledge, which are specific for statistical thinking and help to support complex approaches towards solution of real problems.
Student will be able to assess economic and social development from the point of view of the last findings in the area of anthropogenic activities environmental impacts.

Attendance at seminars is compulsory. The examination is granted upon successful completion of the seminar paper in the extent of 10-15 pages conceived as a source for the thesis or paper.
