Course content
|
Topical content - shopping and transport, historical monuments of big cities in Russia and the CR (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Prague). Grammar - verbs expressing movement, prepositional constructions, conjunctions of reason, nouns that are not declined, modality. Texts from the Internet are also used with the emphasis on communication. Students are asked to read the texts and reproduce them by using different methods. Professional texts will be analysed.

Learning outcomes
|
Students will meet professional and academic texts - they will be able to interpret and translate them.
Students will gain the ability to give a presentation individually in oral form, to lead discussions in a study group.They will be able to work with academic texts, analyse and interpret them.

Prerequisites
|
Knowledge of Russian at level A1P at least. At the beginning of semester, students can be tested and on the basis of the entrance test results, they can be redeployed to the course of a different language level according to CEFR.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral examination, Written examination, Student performance assessment
Compulsory attendance will be monitored (80% at least). Absences need to be apologised for. Type of assessment: written test and oral exam (70% at least). Consultations are recommended. The use of AI is prohibited in qualification and individual papers and in the outputs that form the basis for the assessment of the course. The use of AI is only permitted in accordance with the teacher's assignment for completing a particular task. In the case of distance/hybrid teaching, students continue to follow the course schedule, actively participate in and at a specified time distance/hybrid teaching provided through the electronic teaching system MS Teams, carry out and check assignments published on the STAG, communicate with the teacher by e-mail, MS Teams, Skype, or telephone.
