Course content
Faculty of Chemical Technology. Tenses in English. Job Related Issues. Materials and Their Properties. Atoms and Molecules. Laboratory Equipment. Comparison. Mathematics. Water. Hydrogen. Questions in English. Periodic Table of Elements. Distillation. Standardized didactic test measuring the level of acquisition of the course content.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Skills training, Stimulating activities (simulation, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
The goal of the subject is to acquire and expand the knowledge and skills obtained during the previous learning of the English language with an emphasis on technical terminology and grammar structures relevant to the field of study. In the progress of the course, attention is paid to the application of the adopted language instruments and speech skills to the technical language, taking into consideration the needs of the future practice (speaking and writing skills, listening and reading comprehension when working with technical texts)by means of tutored eLearning course in LMS Moodle and through ePortfolio creation in Mahara.
The student understands sentences and frequentlzy used expressions related to the areas concerning him or her and can communicate by means of simple tasks. The target level of the course is A2+.
Prerequisites
The student can participate in simple interaction in the target language and initiate simple statements in the areas of the most urgent needs. The initial level is A2.

Assessment methods and criteria
Didactic test

The credit will be given on the basis of fulfilled term requirements and on the basis of the end-term test.
