Learning outcomes
Students understand the core idea of a standard utterance in the target language. They are able to engage in an interaction without preparation and to justify their opinion. Students cover professionally oriented situations. Target level B1+.
Upon successful completion od the course, students use the language effectively in complex, professionally oriented situations and are able to work independently with the field-related literature.
Prerequisites
- for non-native speakers Communicative competence CEFR B1.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral performance analysis

Written test focusing on the acquisition of specialized terminology. Written assignments as required by the course teacher. Final test verifies the level of the acquired language competence and is based on the standardised testing materials. Subject completion requirements in case of a distance teaching mode: Based on the teacher´s requirements, the student participates in online lessons according to the schedule and completes the assigned tasks via the online systems Moodle / MS Teams.
