Course content
New to a Company. In a Company. Working with Technology. Forms of Organizations. Communication in an Office. Marketing. Training: Courses and Seminars. Work as a Production Factor. Information on a Company/ Product. Unemployment. Active participation in the e-course EKNEF. Written exam (speaking about determined subjects practiced during the both semesters). Standardized final language exam which consists of the written part and which also reflects the specific command of language relevant to the student´s professional needs.

Learning outcomes
Seminar is offered in tutorials by appointment. The course is designed to develop existing language skills in job-related contexts. An essential part of the course is using texts related to economic patterns. Learners extend their knowledge of sorting and using current information and improve their skill in the target language. The expected entry level is B1 according to the Council of Europe Common Framework. Learners are expected to have the skill of collecting and processing information. The target level is B1+ in German for Specific Purposes according to CEFR.
Skills and competences: Learners will be able to understand complex texts, to handle job-related topics and to give reasons for their opinions. They will be able to draft a detailed text on a wide range of topics and effectively occupy a position in communication situations.

The expected entry level is B1 according to the Council of Europe Common Framework. Learners are expected to have the skill of collecting and processing information. The target level is B1 in German for specific purposes according to CEFR.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Home assignment evaluation, Didactic test

Active participation in the e-learning course with minimum pass mark 60%; submitting all e-learning assigments. Language exam focusing both on accuracy and fluency of the candidate's performance in a foreign language by means of completing the tasks set within the standardized testing materials.
