Learning outcomes |
The course objective is further enhancement of language skills acquired and also fostering students' overall communication competence. The course develops vocabulary for specific purposes, and also practices listening and reading, specially in topics corresponding to their field of study. The final level of communicative competence at the end of the course should be B1+.
Students are able to formulate their thoughts relating to their branch of study in writing and speaking. They are able to write detailed texts from a broad variety of topics. |

Communicative competence: CEFR B1+ in general Russian.

Assessment methods and criteria |
Didactic test
Test: 4 parts. Reading comprehension, cloze test, writing (business letter, e-mail etc.), listening comprehension. Pass: min 60% from each of the parts. |
