Based on the characteristics of the entry level of B2, the aim of the study subject is providing the extension of general vocabulary and its enrichment in terms of the relevant terminology, the practise of the corresponding language means and obtaining the skills (speaking, writing, listening and reading) applicable both in the area of general language as well as the language for specific purposes, expected at the level B2+.
At the end of the study subject, the student will be able to use English language in the following ways: to use a wide range of tenses when describing and analysing the current, previous and potentially future professional career; to describe the specifics of current trends in entrepreneurship; to express himself/herself within more abstract fields, such as for example quality assurance or feedback provision; to explain relevant concepts in the area of finance and contractual relationships. At the end of the study subject, the student will be able to use the acquired B2+ language means in order to: understand longer speeches and lectures based on implications of the conceptual interrelationships; understand the professionally-relevant texts and articles; express himself/herself fluently and promptly, and follow the logical line of arguments in a foreign language communication; present clearly a complex topic in the written form, to emphasise its most important aspects and support his/her perspective by means of stating the relevant evidence. At the end of the study subject, the student will be generally able: to operate effectively in most of complex communicative situations both in everyday life and working context; to use the foreign language in a flexible way and effectively with regard to social and work-related purposes; to communicate with a high level of grammatical and lexical accuracy.
