Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to further develop students' vocabulary for specific purposes relevant to the studies of economics. The target language level of the two-term course is B1 according The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The target level is B1+ in German for Specific Purposes according to CEFR.
The course is designed to build on skills acquired in EPN1 with the goal to acquire B1 language level. Speakers at this level can have a dialogue with a native speaker and explain their opinion. They also understand the gist of abstracting and concrete texts can be involved in a discussion in their branch of study.
Prerequisites
The expected entry level is B1 in German for specific purposes according to the Council of Europe Common Framework. Learners are expected to have the skill of collecting and processing information. The target level is B1 in German for specific purposes according to CEFR.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Home assignment evaluation

Company presentation (PowerPoint) or presentation of product; active participation in the e-learning course with minimum pass mark 60%; submitting all e-learning assigments. Active 70% attendance at contact lessons. Oral language exam focusing both on accuracy and fluency of the candidate's performance in a foreign language by means of completing the tasks set within the standardized testing materials; communication about assigned specific topics.
