Course content
Working in a Plant. Communication. Conflict situations. Smalltalk. On the phone. Everything about the produkt. Applying for a job. Trade fair. Standardized final language exam which consists of both the written and the oral part and which also reflects the specific command of language relevant to the student's professional needs.

Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Skills training
Learning outcomes
The course is designed to build on skills and to foster the acquired language level. The course develops specialized vocabulary, listening and speaking skills in topics corresponding to the branch of study. The final level of communicative competence at the end of the course should be B2 of the Council of Europe Common Framework.
Students are able to formulate their thoughts relating to their branch of study in writing and speaking. They are able to write detailed text from a broad variety of topics.
Prerequisites
Communicative competence: CEFR B1+ in general German.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Home assignment evaluation

Submitting assigned seminar papers. Exam: test in writing (reading comprehension, grammar and vocabulary cloze test). Pass: 60%.
