Learning outcomes
|
The course objective is further enhancement of language skills acquired within the EPR1 and EPR2 courses and also fostering students' overall communication competence. The course develops vocabulary for specific purposes, and also practices listening and reading, specially in topics corresponding to their field of study.The final level of communicative competence at the end of the course should be B1+.
Students are able to formulate their thoughts relating to their branch of study in writing and speaking. They are able to write detailed texts from a broad variety of topics.

Prerequisites
|
- for non-native speakers Communicative competence: CEFR B1 in general Russian. Meeting the requirements of the EPR2 course in all 4 skills in ESP.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Didactic test
Attending 70% of the sessions Completion of all prescribed assignments Exam/ Credit is based on the summary of materials/topics covered in the sessions.
