Course content
Digital Technology Corporate Culture Careers Making Deals Technology and society International Trade Studying technology. Design. Technology in sport People in computing. Crime fighting and security. Presenting skills.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Skills training, Stimulating activities (simulation, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
The subject provides more space for the expansion of the knowledge and skills obtained during the previous studies. An emphasis is put on the development of the abilities to apply the adopted language instruments and speech skills to the needs of an effective communication in the practice after graduation. The course includes working with technical texts and studying materials from the fields of the information and computer science and economics. The target level is B1+ within the CEFR.
The student can understand the main ideas of clear input information, he or she can deal with most of the situations, that can happen during travelling. He or she can describe his/her experience and events, can also explain his/her opinions and plans. The target level of the course is B1+.
Prerequisites
Communicative competence on the CEFR B1 level in general English.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral performance analysis

Acquisition of skills, vocabulary and grammar structures according to the course programme. Mastering the required presenting skills in the English language in the form of a final presentation on a topic relevant to the field of study. Student will complete two assignments according to teacher´s requirements.
