Course content


Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Skills training, Stimulating activities (simulation, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
The course is designed to foster language skills at the level of A2+. Emphasis is put on speaking, listening and reading comprehension and grammar. The target level of the course is B1.
Students are able to make themselves understood both in writing and spoken language in everyday situations. They are able to describe their needs and their surroundings and can write simple texts about things they are familiar with and to give reasons for their opinions. The target level of the course is B1.
Prerequisites
- for non-native speakers Communicative competence CEFR A2+ in general German.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral performance analysis, Didactic test

Attending 70% of the sessions Completion of all prescribed assignments Written test is based on the summary of materials/topics covered in the sessions.
