Learning outcomes
|
The course focuses on translation analysis and expert commentary. Students work with various functional styles; in working with texts, they practice their ability to understand and interpret text, while also proposing their own solutions to translation-related difficulties. They also acquire specialized terminology in translation studies and linguistics, deepen their skills in intercultural communication, and learn translation criticism. Last but not least, students improve their written expression in both English and Czech. Students may use artificial intelligence tools in accordance with the recommendations set out in the faculty directive "Rules for the Use of Generative AI Tools in Studies", provided that they predominantly use their own intelligence.
