Learning outcomes

The aim of the course is to further develop the skills associated with effective and fluent communication in business, social and official interactions. The course builds on BOJA1; unlike BOJA1, however, it no longer operates at a general level but addresses more complex topics in the business, legal and academic spheres. Emphasis is placed not only on acquiring and expanding vocabulary and the relevant grammatical structures, but above all on deepening the specialist knowledge applicable in international business practice. The course also builds on BOJA1 in terms of the materials used.
The course focuses on the development of communicative competence in the field of English for Specific Purposes (business, legal and academic English), of terminology knowledge and use (passive and active approach) and relevant grammar structures in appropriate functional styles and reflecting cultural differences, and of general business skills.
