Learning outcomes
|
Students gain practical translation skills. The whole seminar is based on working with texts in the original as well as the target language, textual analysis of the existing translations, and participants' own translation work as well as its analysis. Students apply theoretical knowledge from the lectures in Introduction to Translation Theory. Students work on translating from English into Czech.
Students will improve their language and translation competence.

|
Work-related product analysis
Attendance and active participation in classes. Maximum acceptable absence equals 2 seminars. Handing in class group work after each seminar. Presenting the selected functional style.
