Course content
Organisation of teaching/learning processes. Lesson planning. Developing learner autonomy. Developing activity and creativity in pupils. Individualisation and differentiation. Increasing pupil motivation in ELT classes. Teacher authority. Classroom management. Discipline. School culture. Classroom climate. Essential teaching skills. Evaluative / diagnostic skills.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Monitoring, Demonstration, Stimulating activities (simulation, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
General Didactics II is a part of the integrated block consisting of the following courses: General Didactics II, ELT Methodology II and Teaching Practice II. The main aim is to further develop the system of facts and concepts previously acquired as well as the skill to orientate in complex issues related to the content and process of teaching / learning English to primary school learners.
Integration of the three courses develops students´ competence to identify specific problems, to pose questions, to analyse and evaluate their own experience and the experience of others. The integrated course is based on microteaching performances, which are analysed from the point of view of general didactics and ELT methodology and which represent the beginning of the development of student teachers´ professional competence.
