Learning outcomes
The subject develops communication and presentation skills of student teachers in English, helps students to collect and analyze data in the research phase of a final presentation. In the planning part, students focus on the aspects of effective presentations - identifying a type of presentation, audience, audio-visual aids, content and form agreement, body language, etc. The course is performed in English and focused on the development of the language competence and relevant presentation skills. Special attention is given to educational communication in teaching English as a foreign language.
The student develops their communication and presentation skills, including the ability to work and process secondary data, involvement of students in practical exercises help them to develop their level of language competence.

Assessment methods and criteria

1. Active participation in the lessons (individual presentations on various aspects of presentations, giving and receiving feedback on presentations, participating in group discussions). The assignments are to be submitted via ePortfolio in the respective deadlines. 2. PREZU e-video-portfolio (individual work): video recordings of the individual presentations assigned in and for the lessons, shared through blogs + including other assignments dealing with presentations. Final completing in ePortfolio Mahara. 3. Final (group project) presentation. Topic: We, the students of English for Education. Aim: to inform + to motivate + persuade the audience to study English for Education. Audio-visual aids: obligatory video part (2 mins max long, using original sources of data-i.e. those created by students). Video storyboard/script: presented and discussed in the learning café session, March 27. Total length: 20 minutes (+/-5 mins) + discussion. Groups agree on their duties and responsibilities in the project in the form of written and undersigned contracts including dates and terms of their performance (March 6). Processed in ePortfolio Mahara.
