The course further develops and extends knowledge and skills acquired in PSA1. The focus is on writing for academic purposes. Students will analyze sample texts, learning thus the characteristics of basic types of essays and individual steps of the writing process (research, note taking, writing, citation norms, paraphrasing, bibliography, etc.).
The course enhances students' ability to use efficiently both primary and secondary sources, and to adjust their style to required form. Special attention is placed on practical usage of acquired knowledge and skills in the students' own writing.
