Research: gathering data. Prewriting stage: critical, analytical and reflective thinking. Prewriting stage: organizing data, note-making. Writing: structuring longer essays. Writing: annotations. Writing: resume. Writing: editing and revising techniques. Writing: non-discriminatory language. Using sources: supporting ideas, integrating evidence. Using sources: evaluating data. Using sources: references, bibliography, citation norms.

This course focuses on the issues of writing longer academic pieces, such as bachelor or diploma papers, and deals with topics like research and text organization, writing annotations and resumes, organizing the composition including necessary parts - introduction and conclusion, etc. It builds on the knowledge and skills acquired in PSA1 and PSA2, while further extending students' abilities in using sources and citing. Its core is formed by detailed analyses of students' own pieces of writing, aiming at solving particular practical problems during their research and writing process.
Students will further extend their competence in research and writing of longer academic texts including their structural elements such as introduction, conclusion, etc.
