The aim of the Bachelor Paper Seminar in the 3rd year of study is to provide students with support in the process of writing their bachelor papers. The procedure for composing the bachelor paper starts in the 2nd year of study by submitting a project proposal for the bachelor paper. The students can choose from a wide range of topics in Literature, Cultural Studies, Linguistics or ELT Methodology. After official approval of the topic, the student is expected to co-operate with his or her supervisor. The initial stages of dealing with their topics involve mapping out and studying the relevant literature and preparing the research methodology. Bachelor Paper Seminars in the 3rd year of study are then focused on presenting, sharing and discussing experiences concerning various theoretical, empirical, formal, and methodological aspects of producing the bachelor paper.
Students´ academic competence as well as academic writing skills and research capability will be developed.
