Learning outcomes |
The objective of this course is to present students with relevant basic knowledge about stylistics, working with primary and secondary sources, and using these acquired skills in writing - especially writing for academic purposes. It will be based on theory as well as on analyses of students' own works and practical examples. Main features include chapters from stylistics, text organization, usage of appropriate lexical means, techniques of composition, rules of using primary as well as secondary sources, citing and bibliography, the specifics of technical style, etc.
In their writing, students will be able to apply the knowledge of appropriate lexical means, stylistics, text organization, composition and of working with sources, into their own writing. Thus they will improve their writing skills. |
