Lecture topics by week of the semester: 1. Introduce VLAB Environment and SIMATIC Motion Controller 2. TIA Portal & Hardware Configuration 3. TIA Portal & Programming 4. Industrial Communication Fundamentals 5. HMI Basics and Applications 6. Overview of Drives and Motion Control 7. Single Axis Control : Simplified Motion Control with the 'LAxisCtrl' Library 8. Dynamic Electronic Cam Disk Creation 9. SIMATIC Kinematics Integrator: Simplified Kinematics Control 10. Safety Applications with SIMATIC Fail-Safe Library and Simulation 11. Review and Final Project 12. Final Project The content of the exercises corresponds to the topics of the lectures.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the issues of industrial automation in the context of PLC programming and Motion Control.
