Course content
Raw material sources in the Czech Republic and in the world, classification of stores, the law background of exploitation. Tribochemistry and its technical application. Breaking of raw materials, theory of breaking, crushing and crushers. Milling and mills. Sorting of grained substances - mechanic, pneumatic, hydraulic. Sorting equipment. Gravitational separation of grained substances. Flotation separation of grained substances. Magnetic, electric and unconventional techniques of separation of grained substances. Separation from solutions - precipitation, crystallization, cementation. Dehydration of solid-liquid systems (mash treatment - gravitational sedimentary techniques, centrifugal field, flocculation). Filtration procedures, drying. Transport of materials in chemistry industry. Equipments and conditions of applications. Transfer of solids. Transfer of liquid. Storing of materials. Heating and cooling of the materials. Heating and cooling equipments. Heat transfer and heat exchangers. Theoretical principles of control of technological operations. Principles of projection of chemical factories.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to explain the essential methods of processing and treatment of raw materials sources. The attention is focused on different types of equipments connected with treatment of materials. The knowledge is practiced during seminars.
Absolvent předmětu získá nezbytné znalosti o metodách zpracování nerostných surovin. Je schopen rozhodovat o výběru technologického zařízení a provést základní výpočty.
