Classification and properties of fertilizers, sampling and treatment Determination of physical properties of fertilizers, determination of water content Determination of macro- and micronutrients in fertilizers Sampling and treatment of soil Physical tests of soil, determination of soil reaction and sorption capacity Determination of nutrients and their forms in soil Determination of soil organic matter Sampling and treatment of plants, methods of mineralization Determination of biogenic elements in plant materials Determination of pesticide residues and heavy metals in soil and plants

Learning outcomes
|
To broaden knowledge of students gained in such subjects as inorganic technology, agricultural chemistry and analytical chemistry about methods given to analyze fertilizers, soil and plant materials.
Graduate of the subject is equipped with knowledge forming good preconditions to hold working positions in agricultural and agrochemical laboratories and in other control and testing laboratories in organizations performing analyses of fertilizers, soils and plant materials.

Prerequisites
|
Knowledge of analytical chemistry, agricultural chemistry and inorganic technology (production of artificial fertilizers).

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral examination, Written examination
The course is ended by written test and oral exam. To admit to oral exam it is necessary to calculate correctly test exercise.
