Course content
Quality control. Importance, principles, terms by ČSN EN ISO 9000. Quality measure and their probing. Methods of quality evaluation of products. Factors affecting the quality of products and services. Principles of quality control of producers, periods of formation of products and its quality. Costs of quality. ISO Standards 9000. The quality management system requirements specified in standard ČSN EN ISO 9001. The improvement of efficiency of the quality management system by using standard ČSN EN ISO 9004. Statistic quality control. Principles, methods, examples, software. Internal audit of quality system management. Verification of quality system by using standard ČSN EN ISO 19011. Environmental management. Implementation of ISO standards of series ČSN EN ISO 14000. Occupational health and safety management systems, OHSAS 18001:1999 State effect on the quality control. Low about technical requirements of products. Technical normalization and testing. Accreditation. Czech accreditation system. Process of accreditation. Rules and documents for accreditation control in CZ. Metrology. Metrology low, terms, classification of gauges, confirmation and verification of gauges. Authorities and organizations that work in metrology field in CZ. - Low about protection of consumers. Basic terms, liability in rendering of products and services. Tasks of public administration.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to inform the students about quality management in industrial, chiefly, chemical companies. Students are also informed about further control systems and activities which are related with quality control of products and service
After passing the subject, the students have general view about control systems, which are implemented in chemical companies with aim of continual improve the quality of products, environment protection and occupational health and safety. Students are acquitted with basic legislative rules and technical standards, which adjust these activities. The students can find the wide fulfillment on positions of middle management in several fields of industrial practice.
