Course content
|
The aim of the course is to study methods of characterization of initial reagents and final products concerning the field of inorganic technology. It is a summary of methods for characterizing materials in both liquid and solid phases, e.g. in terms of chemical composition and purity, structural properties including Rietveld's method of quantitative phase analysis, optical properties, morphological and granulometric composition and some other physico-chemical properties. In addition to the principles of methods and design solutions of commercial instruments, their specifics will be also studied. Great emphasis will be put on the interpretation of results.

Learning outcomes
|
Deepening knowledge of methods suitable for characterisation of inorganic materials.
After completing the course, the student will be very familiar with the methods suitable for characterizing inorganic raw materials, including knowledge of the design solutions of the given methods and their specificities.
