Learning outcomes
In the field of transfusion medicine attention has been paid to understanding the biological effects of transfusion of blood and its components, transfusion techniques, prevention and diagnosis of transfusion complications. It is discussed both immunohaematology (immunology blood cells, the significance of antigens and antibodies blood group antigens of leukocytes, platelets) and the types of transfusion products and good manufacturing practice.
Student is ready for simple handling in laboratory of transfusion department.
