Course content
1st week Principles of physiological regulation, homeostasis, metabolism of water and body fluids 2nd week Physiology and pathological physiology of the cardiovascular system - blood vessels 3rd week Physiology and pathological physiology of the cardiovascular system - heart 4th week Myology ? NS disc, muscle contraction, types of muscle tissue 5th week General neurophysiology ? action potential, resting membrane potential, propagation of excitation through a nerve 6th week Physiology and pathological physiology of the CNS and VNS ? (para-)sympathetic, control of nervous activity 7th week Physiology and pathological physiology of the kidneys ? principle of urine formation, function of parts of the nephron, glomerular filtration 8th week Physiology and pathological physiology of breathing ? respiration, ventilation, ventilation parameters 9th week Physiology and pathological physiology of the endocrine system - hierarchy, adeno/neurohypophysis, PAR, SYM 10th week Physiology and pathological physiology of the endocrine system ? pancreas, adrenal glands, thyroid gland, 11th week Physiology and pathological physiology of digestion - liver function, bile function, exocrine pancreas, enzymes 12th week Physiology and pathological physiology of the GIT - parts of the GIT and their functions 13th week Physiology and pathological physiology of metabolism ? nutrient metabolism, hormonal management, lipoproteins

The subject deals with a basic description of the functions of tissues and cells in the organism, their management, regulation and dysregulation.
