Structure of NA (dNA and RNA) Types of RNA (tRNA, mRNA, rRNA, miRNA, siRNA) Hybridization of NA Genetic information Gene, types of genes, structure of mRNA Dogma of molecular genetics Transcription, regulation of transcription Proteins Genetics of prokaryotes Gene therapy and GMO Basic techniques of molecular biology (PCR and modifications, real-time PCR, hybridization techniques)

Learning outcomes
The main aim of this subject is to create basic conception about molecular mechanisms in cells and about cell?s regulation pathways (regulation of gene expression, regulation of cell growth, etc.).
Students get basic knowledges about terms using in molecular biology, about basic mechanisms of biosynthesis, degradation of nucleic acids and proteins and about basic mechanisms of regulation of gene expression. Graduation in this subject is necessary condition to follow in subject ?Methods of molecular biology?.
