Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the composition of the paper, its degradation and basic methods of conservation and restoration.
Students will learn of chemical substance and degradation mechanism of paper which could help them to understand restoration methods and orientation in technical bibliography. In addition students will be familiar with preventive care.
Prerequisites
Students should be able to orientate themselves in basics of organic and inorganic chemistry.
Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination
Assignment: written test.
